Dr. Lakshmikant Singh was born on 31 December 1958 in Gopalganj district of Bihar state. Dr. Lakshmikant Singh, author of one and a half dozen books and professor of Pali language, is a renowned historian and researcher. His historical work ‘Ducarel Kī Purnea’ is a very popular novel. Recently published ‘Svarn Gupha’ is also a novel, based on historical events. He has a subtle approach in the field of ancient history and language. Works like ‘Odaṃtapurī: eka aitihāsika khoja’, ‘Udantapurī (The Land of Miracles)’, ‘Historical Records of Aśoka the Great’, ‘Untold History of Kalinga War’ and ‘Dictionary of Aśoka’s Inscriptions’ are examples. Apart from being a polyglot, he is also a master of multidimensional writing art. Along with Pali language, he is well versed in Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Magadhi, Maithili languages. He has keen knowledge in Ayurveda and Homeopathy field and is the author of a book named ‘Bhāratīya Vanauṣadhi Dharohara’ (2014). A book based on children’s psychology, ‘Ṡābāṡa Daddy’ was published in (2012). His works on Pali language and Buddhist philosophy have been published in hindi “Pāli Vyākaraṇa evaṃ Racanā (2014)”, “Bhagavāna Buddha : Jīvana evaṃ Darśana and “Bauddha Dharma aura Pāpa-Puṇya”.(2017) respectively. “Hindī Bhāṣā aura Sāhitya kā Dārśanika itihāsa”/2022) is included in the bestseller books. The extra-mundane work of Dr. Lakshmikant Singh is the apparent shine of his ken and experience in various fields.
